Join us for an Evening of Poetry & Music with Tom Richter

Tom Richter has been writing songs and poetry since the late 1960s. Having retired from a career in New Hampshire he is back in the North Country with his words and music. You can hear Tom play with the Doghill Road Band; the region’s premier bluegrass band, find his three books of poetry in local libraries, or check out his prints/artwork/merch/CDs along with Idle Acres Farm garlic at the Chaumont Farmer’s Market. Tom is a current member of the Lyme Performing Arts Council.

The Lyme Free Library will be presenting Chaumont’s own Tom Richter for a poetry reading and presentation on Friday July 12 at 6:30PM. Join us for a romp through his long journey of words and music. From the Beat Poets to Charles Bukowski, from ballads to blues, listen as Tom weaves his brightly colored tapestry with bits and pieces of everyday life. We invite students of all ages!

Tom asks that you bring a favorite poem for a round robin discussion after the presentation.
