Tales for Tails! – Read to a Dog at the Library!

Kids can make enormous strides in building self esteem and confidence while acquiring a love of reading to a therapy dog.  Reading to a therapy dog in a calm and relaxing atmosphere helps improve children’s reading, communication, and social skills. Reggie is a sweet therapy dog who along with his owner Miss Martin loves to listen to stories. Sign up to meet our furry friend, read him a short story from our collection or yours, and soak up all of his peaceful doggie vibes. For children beginning to read independently to age 12. Reading sessions last 15 minutes per child. Registration is required. Please call 315-649-5454 to reserve a session. Limited to 1 session per child per month. Sessions run from 2:30 to 3:45.
